Kaiser Digishield
Kaiser Fototechnik introduces a flexible glare shield that helps to improve the visibility of the image on the LCD monitor of digital cameras in very bright lighting conditions. This useful accessory fits many different camera models.If you have some basic photographic experience, you know that with the sun in your back shooting is rather simple - no reflections on your lens, easy exposure.
But when shooting digital these lighting conditions can give you big problems when you use your camera's LCD screen: visibility goes down as brightness goes up. The Kaiser "digiShield" shields against lateral and angular incidence of light. This is the main purpose of this small accessory, but it comes with some more advantages.
One significant advantage is that the "digiShield" is simply mounted to the tripod thread - neither glue nor ugly rubber bands will disfigure the nice camera body. As dimensions of camera bodies, positions of tripod threads and size and position of LCD screens vary from model to model, the designers had to develop a clever solution to create a universal unit. Two small adapters with guide rails and a height adjustment can solve this problem for most cameras on the market. To make things more convenient, side shields and top shield simply fold down and serve to protect the LCD screen without adding to much bulk. Two safety catches hold the shields in this position and a coil spring support moves them to the opened position when unlocked. Available in 3 sizes - up to 2 inch screens, up to 2.5 inch screens and now up to 3 inch screens.
